Glenn Dale Acreman passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 79 in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Glenn was born on January 17, 1946, in Montgomery, Texas, the son of Ollie B. and Florence Elizabeth (Stone) Acreman. Glenn grew up and attended school in Cleburne, Texas, and Conroe, Texas. Following the completion of his education, Glenn began working at a local sawmill and then later at a local gas station. Glenn was then offered a job with a local plumber, where he started as a plumber's helper. In the early 1970s, Glenn was introduced to Linda Jean (Lamb), and the couple was united in marriage on January 10, 1975, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They made their initial home in Tulsa before moving to Cleveland in 1976. Glenn began working for Bill Bryant with Johnny on the Spot and Porta John until the late 1970's. Glenn then opened his own plumbing company, Acreman Plumbing, which he operated until 2010. Glenn remained working odd jobs for friends and family.
Glenn enjoyed motorcycle races and Bluegrass music. He also liked going to Thunderbird Racetrack to watch the races. Glenn and Linda always enjoyed going with friends on motorcycle trips and working on his property, taking care of his cattle. He also liked working and fixing things around the farm on his backhoe.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda Acreman, sister Paula Elaine Acreman, brother Ollie Edward Acreman, and son Raud Nelson. Survivors include his children Lanette Marcellus and her husband Paul; Robert Acreman and his wife Jackie; Mark Nelson; Sheryl Robinson and her husband Jack; Todd Nelson and wife Andrea; three siblings Ernest Acreman, Earline Sutton, Elizabeth Coker; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 12, 2025, with Father Louis Obirieze. Interment will take place at Terlton Cemetery.
