Graveside services for Bill Dickey will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Sinnett Cemetery with David Logsdon officiating. Burial is under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.

William Elmer Dickey was born on August 19, 1953, in Salem, Oregon. He was the son of Noel and Goldie Imogene (McDaniel) Dickey. As a young man Bill grew up in Salem where he graduated from high school with the Class of 1971. Shortly after high school Bill joined the United States Marine Corps. He was initially assigned to the 2nd Battalion 7th Marines of the 1st Marine Division Fleet Marine Force at Camp Pendleton, California. During his time in the Marines Lance Corporal Bill Dickey received the following awards: Rifle Sharp Shooter, National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Bill was honorably discharged on October 17, 1973. Following his discharge bill remained in Oregon until he moved to Cleveland in 1978. He later moved to Litchfield, Michigan where he worked at Raker's Acres. Bill worked at the plant farm for many years and returned to Cleveland in the late 1990's. At that time he began working in the oil field and was later forced into retirement due to health reasons.

Bill loved to fish and hunt and his always claimed his mother had the greatest effect on his life. Bill was very opinionated and sure to let you know where you stood at anytime.

Bill passed away at his home in Cleveland, Oklahoma on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the age of 59 years two months and twenty three days.

Survivors are his four siblings Christine Ford of Texas, Don Dickey of Oregon, Barbara Gibson of Idaho, Kelly Wilson of Louisiana, four aunts Pam Dickey, Ruby Stegall, Nancy, Francis and his favorite dog Nellie "Bird" and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by father Noel Dickey, mother Goldie Dickey as well as his grandparents.
