Paula Fern Brown was born on June 16, 1941 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. She passed in Lansing MI Oct. 22, 2020. She is preceded in death with her parents Her Father Eddie Brown and Mother Annie J. Little Eagle, daughter Keli Mathews, grandson Niehhi Skidi Hamlton.
Paula graduated from Pawnee High School in 1959, and her associates at Haskell in 1961, she received her bachelors degree in accounting. She was the Pawnee Princess from 1958-1960, her hobbies included golf, bowling, attending powwows and reading to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Miriam Mathews Birdshead of Pawnee, OK, grandchildren Delta Yazzie, William Birdshead Jr, Beverly Birdshead, Mavis Pratt. Son William Mathews Jr. of Wyoming, Betty Mathews, grand children Leslie Mathews, William Mathews III, Phillip Mathews, Grandchildren Robert Ankney, Nicole Ankney of Pawnee, OK. Julia Ankney of Michigan. Son Paul Bunting of Japan, Tamaka Bunting, grand children Juli Bunting, Noah Bunting, Lui Bunting, Luka Bunting, son Wayne Bunting of Alabama. Her sister Grace Tahkeal, Tony Tahkeal of Pawnee, OK. Tamara Ann, Tanya Tahkeal. Sister Frances Cady of Norman, OK. Great grandchildren Niehhi Skidi II, Nehemiah, Bi-hi-ya, Trae, Levi, Destiny, Brody, Elena, Alexis, Adela, Plio, Leila.
