William A. Foy was born on August 23, 1941 in Plattsburgh, New York entered into rest November 10, 2016 in Alexandria, Virginia. He graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1959, graduated from Manhattan College in 1964 earning a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. He later graduated from George Washington University earning a Juris Doctorate. Bill was employed as Director of Environmental and Energy for Potomac Energy Power Company (PEPCO) for many years.
Bill was an avid sports fan especially his New York Yankees and New York Giants, he also loved golf and tennis. One of his fondest memories of growing up is when his brother David took him to see his idol Mickey Mantle at Yankee Stadium. He loved doing crossword puzzles, loved a good steak at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, enjoyed sports discussions with his sons, Kenny and Michael and witnessing the birth of his daughter, Madison and teaching her the importance of school and education.
He loved spending time alone with his wife whether it be a ride along the Potomac River or on the sofa watching the NY Giants and Dallas Cowboys, opposite sides of the sofa, of course.
Bill is survived by his wife Ruth Ann Foy, daughter Marion Madison Rane Foy, sons Michael Foy and Kenny Foy. Brothers David Foy and Mike Foy, sister Carolyn Wagar.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Marion Foy. Services were held Wednesday 10:00 A.M. November 16, 2016 in the Pawnee Nation Roam Chief Event Center with Rev. Duane Pratt officiating, burial followed in the North Indian Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services. friends can leave a memory for the family at www.poteetfuneralhome.com
