Alex Jordan Downing entered our family on August 5, 1992 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He left us behind so suddenly on June 15, 2020 in Mesa, Arizona. Alex lived in Oklahoma for two years before moving to Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Machan and Mariposa Elementary school; Kyrene Middle School and graduated from Marcos De Niza High School in 2010.
Alex was a die-hard fan of the Arizona Cardinals. His favorite saying was “they’re winning the super bowl this year!!” He loved the Oklahoma Sooners and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Alex’s favorite past-times were bowling, attending WWE wrestling, various concerts and taking road trips to Los Angeles and the ocean. Cooking was his passion. Alex wanted to further his culinary skills. Alex was a very loving, caring, and thoughtful person. He always made sure his friends have a place to stay. Alex is survived by his mother, Hazel Downing of Tempe, Arizona, brothers, Benjamin Leading Fox of Owasso, Oklahoma, Richard Downing and Ja-li Downing of Tempe, Arizona. His Paternal grandfather—Richard Downing of Tulsa, Oklahoma and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Clinton Downing, Uppit Chester Leading Fox and Grandmothers Myrtle Leading Fox and Phyllis Downing and numerous other relatives.
uneral service will be held on Saturday 10:00 A.M. June 27, 2020 in Pawnee Nation Roam Chief Event Center, burial will follow in the North Indian Cemetery. Traditional Mourners Feast to followed. Alex will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
