Jeffery Lee Taylor

Jeffery Lee Taylor passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 33 years.

The son of James Wayne Taylor and Joanne Rist, Jeffery was born on May 1, 1977 in Ponca City and was raised in Davenport, graduating from Davenport High School in 1996.

Jeffery had worked for the Shelter Workshop in Shawnee.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church; he enjoyed attending the weekly Lions Club meeting, playing video games, golfing and doing water aerobics. He especially enjoyed participating in all the activities with the Special Olympics.

Survivors include mother, Joanne Taylor of Cushing; grandparents, Raymond and Wynonna Rist of Cushing, and Arline Taylor of Tonkawa, OK; one brother, Danny Wayne Taylor of Norman; one aunt Joyce Harwick and her husband Mel of Kewanna, IN; two uncles, Wesley Rist and his wife Laura of LaVernia, TX and Randy Taylor of Tonkawa, OK, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Taylor and one grandfather Dennis Taylor.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Mitchell, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Davenport, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Maramec Cemetery.

The family will greet friends in the Floyd Family Center on Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
