LaVina Sue Jones was born on February 7, 1943 in Woodward, OK to Marion (Bud) Walker and Beulah Mercer. During her early childhood she lived in San Francisco, CA before the family moved to Vici, OK. While in San Francisco, LaVina completed grade school. On June 9, 1958, LaVina married the love of her life, Mansel Ray Jones. To this union was blessed one son, Jessie, and one daughter, LaDonna. Prior to her marriage, LaVina was blessed with a son, Mark. LaVina and the family lived in Vici for a time before moving to Pawnee, OK. The family remained there until November 1977, when they moved to Maramec, OK, where LaVina lived until her passing.
0LaVina worked as a Nurse’s Aid throughout her life and had received her CMA License to help with this career. She enjoyed sewing, drawing, canning, gardening, flowers, fishing, and her dog, Sassy. LaVina was baptized into the Baptist church.
LaVina passed from this life on January 24, 2019 at the age of 75.
Preceding LaVina in death are her husband Mansel Jones, and her parents Marion Walker and Beulah Mercer.
Surviving LaVina are her children, son Mark D. Walker of Bartlesville, OK, daughter LaDonna D. Jones of Cushing, OK, and son Jessie R. and wife Carla Jones of Maramec, OK; her brothers, Billy Walker, Gary Walker, and Tommy Walker; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
