Mrs. Charles C. Meeker was born August 21, 1868 at Queen City, Mo., and passed from this life Nov. 19 1939 at her home after a long illness. She was 70 years, 2 months and 28 days of age at the time of her departure.
Jan. 2, 1888, she was united in marriage to Mr. C.C. Meeker in Adair Co., Missouri. From Missouri she removed with her husband to Pawnee Co., in the year of 1894. She has been a resident of this county for 45 years.
To this union 11 children were born 4 of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, C. C. Meeker, two daughters and five sons. Twenty-two grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and other more distant relatives.
The daughters are Mrs. George Wisley of El Dorado, Kansas and Mrs. LeRoy Griesel of Pawnee.
The sons are Martin of Amarillo, Texas, Charles E. of Tulsa, O. E. of Cushing, W. and Boyd of Pawnee.
She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Jim Meeker of Missouri and Mrs. Rena Munn of Nebraska and one brother Grove Aldridge of Watonga, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Meeker had been a member of the Christian Church since she was 13 years of age, she united with the church in Pawnee in 1928.
She was active in the Community activities, a member of the Farm club of her community. She was a loyal wife, a loving mother and ever a trusted friend.
Services were conducted from the Christian Church, November 22nd, by A. J. Bradshaw, the body rests in Highland Cemetery, Pawnee.
