Alvin Lamar Johnson

Alvin Lamar Johnson 81 passed away on January 17, 2020 at Wildwood Manor Center in Tulsa Okla.

Alvin was born November 10, 1938 to William and Nola Johnson one of thirteen Children. Alvin attended Lincoln School in Pawnee Okla. But, later dropped out. He went on to marry Marian Jordan of Arkansas City, Peggy Judie of Arkansas City both deceased.

Alvin Johnson worked at Tubs detailing shop for many years doing what he loved. Later he went on to work for Union State Bank as Property Manager where he later retired.

Alvin was a member of St. James Church of God in Christ Arkansas City Kansas, later moving to Stillwater Okla. Where he was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church Stillwater Okla., and later residing at Galilee Baptist Church Tulsa, Okla. His hobbies included car shows, shopping for new suits, taking his grand-children to games and was a great fan of OSU and Dallas Cowboys. He always had a kind heart for helping everyone.

Survivors include his wife Jean Johnson of Tulsa Okla., children Debra Jennings of Arkansas City, Shawn Johnson of Tulsa Okla., Jennise Cox Kansas City, Kansas, Alvin Johnson of Winfield Ks, And Angela Johnson Beard of Wichita Ks.

Grand Children include, Amber Jennings, Lonnie Johnson, Alexis Johnson, Jennifer Jennings, Bronson Jennings, Michael Elston, Romaine Green, James Cox and a host of great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by both parents, three sisters, eight brothers and a host of nieces and nephews

Services are Saturday 11:00 A.M. January 25, 2020 at the First Baptist Church 701 6th Street Pawnee , Oklahoma. Services were entrusted to the Poteet Funeral Home & Cremation Services, friends can leave a memory for the family at www.poteetfuneralhome.com
