The funeral service for Earl Echohawk was held at 2 P.m., Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Pawnee Nation Multi-Purpose Complex, Pawnee, OK, with Rev. Warren Pratt, Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Veteran's Section of Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, OK. (918) 762-2557
Earl Rolando Echohawk was born April 30, 1954 in Pawnee, OK, to Delray Brice EchoHawk and Evangelista Jojola EchoHawk and passed on Monday, December 25, 2006, in Norman, OK, at the age of 52 years, 7 months, and 25 days.
He married Charla Kay EchoHawk on January 1, 2000, in Miami, OK, and they moved from The Miami/Tulsa Area to Norman, in May of 2002. Earl was affiliated With the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He proudly served in The United States Army 22 years until retiring in 1994, Earl was also a member of the Pawnee Veteran's Association. He was an EXTREMELY PROUD graduate of the University of Oklahoma.
Survivors include his: wife, Charla EchoHawk, Norman; 4 children, Anna Rainey, Brigham City, UT, Earl EchoHawk, Jr., Lawton, OK, Paul EchoHawk, Salt Lake City, UT, Roland EchoHawk, Norman; mother, Vangie Jojola McClendon, Tulsa, OK; 3 brothers, Steve EchoHawk, Tulsa, Joe EchoHawk, Tulsa, Brian EchoHawk, Tulsa; 7 grandchildren; plus a Number of other relatives and many friends.
