Bertha Bernice Adams

 July 11, 1921 ~ Oct 05, 1985

Lamont -- The funeral for Bertha Bernice Adams, 64, who died Saturday in her home at Lamont, will be at 2 pm Tuesday in the First Christian Church at Lamont. The Rev. Daniel A. Sanford will officiate. Cremation will follow. Arrangements are by Davidson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Adams ws born July 11, 1921, in Bridgeport, Ill. She and her husband, J. V. Adams, lived in the Lamont area for 25 years and were custom harvesters. He died in 1983.

Survivors include a son, Elton Nelson, Lamont; three daughters, Elda Moore, Tonkawa, Kathy Wallert, Russell, Kan., and Sandra Hodges, Tulsa; two stepsons, J.T. Adams, Pawnee, and Bill Adams, California; a stepdaughter, Verna Lee Kerns, Lyons, Kan., 14 grandchildresn; eight great grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth Provine, League City, Texas, and Robert and Carl Provine, both of Oregon; and five sisters, Lorine Knaack, Hillside, Kan., Francis Butts, Lamont, Verla Ferguson, Dunn, Texas, Opal Marshall, Wichita, Kan., and Ruby Moloney, Pond Creek.
