Susan Elizabeth Tisdale Paltridge

Susan Elizabeth Paltridge passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 77 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Born on July 15, 1948, in Fairfax, Oklahoma, Susan was the daughter of Bunyan and Oleta (Easley) Tisdale. She grew up in Blackburn and Hominy, where she attended school and graduated with the Class of 1966. During high school, Susan participated in the band and was also a twirler. After graduation, she attended nursing school in Drumright and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. For many years, Susan worked in nursing homes and extended care facilities. She later returned to school to obtain her Administrator's License and served as the administrator of the Pawnee Nursing Home for many years. Susan was actively involved with the Kiwanis and Lions Clubs in Pawnee during her career. After retiring from Cimarron Pointe Care Center, she focused on her true passions - being a homemaker, cooking, and baking.

Susan is survived by her two children, Michelle House and Jason Buckner; one sister, Emma Lou Ball; five grandchildren, Tiffany Edwards, Josh Edwards, Afton House, Chris Edwards, and Jacob Buckner; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Paltridge; her parents, Bunyan and Oleta Tisdale; her son, Scott House; and her brother, Mac Wann.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home, with Pastor Lindee Deroin officiating. Burial will follow at Blackburn Cemetery. The Chapman-Black Funeral Home will handle the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Susan at www.chapman-black.com.
