Picher, Okla., - Mrs. Christina Stand, 59, Hallowell, Kan., died Saturday at 6 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa where she had been a patient for the last 10 days.

Mrs. Stand was born March 30, 1915, in Ottawa County, Oklahoma, and was an Ottawa County resident until her move to Hallowell seven years ago. She was Quapaw-Peoria Indian and a member of the Southeast Baptist Church in Miami.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Stand, Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Tommie Rae Hughey, Pittsburgh, Pa.; her father, Fred Beets, Quapaw, Okla.; two brothers, Leroy Beets, Tulsa, Okla., and Harold Beets, Quapaw; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Deaton and Mrs. Magel Clifford both of Wyandotte; and 10 grandchildren.

Service will be announced by Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Picher.

Christian Stand, Picher, Okla. - Services for Mrs. Christina Stand, 59, Hallowell, Kan., a former Ottawa County resident, who died Saturday at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, where she had been a patient the last 10 days, will be at 10 a.m. today at Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Picher.

The Rev. Fred VonMoss will officiate. Burial will be in Peoria Cemetery, east of Quapaw.

Pallbearers will be Leroy Watson, Jim Quapaw, Norman Stand, Cornelis Stand, Raymond Stand Jr., and John Stand.
