Timothy James "Tim" Hendren

Timothy James "Tim" Hendren, formerly of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, entered Heaven on June 19, 2012 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 36.

Tim was born in Tulsa on February 9, 1976. He was fostered, adopted, and loved dearly by Oneita and Joyce Hendren, beginning in July of 1977.

He graduated from Bartlesville High School in 1994. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He was deployed to Iraq from October 2007 to December 2008. Tim was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sgt. In July 2011. He was a member of the Bartlesville Baptist Temple.

The role in life Tim most cherished was that of father to his young son, Timothy James (T.J.), Jr. He was a proud, loving and devoted daddy.

Tim was preceded in death by his "mom", Oneita Hendren, and one brother, Cotton Hendren.

He leaves behind his son, T.J.; his wife, Tina; his "mother", Joyce Hendren; two sisters, Jackie Hendren and Janice Shamblin; one brother, Howard Hendren; and a host of friends and loved ones. We thank God for giving us Tim. He will live forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life service for Tim will be held in Bartlesville in the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, 710 S. Dewey, at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, June 26. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Woodward. Burial will be in the family plot in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Afton, Oklahoma.
