Jacqueline Virginia "Jackie" (Baker) Coffman

September 12, 1941 ~ July 16, 2025

A graveside service to remember and celebrate the life of Jacqueline Virginia “Jackie” Coffman will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2025, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Afton, OK. Jackie left her temporary earthly home for her permanent heavenly home on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. She was 83 years old.

Born in Afton, OK on September 12, 1941, to Jack Clayton and Elizabeth Lorayne (Lattimore) Baker. Although she graduated High School in Fayetteville, AR the Afton area was always home for Jackie. Her parents owned a café there and Jackie would share special memories about the time she spent there. She was the proud mother of two children, Cindy and Clay. And provided for her family working in banking in the trust department.

A lady that loved the Lord and was active in the First Baptist Church in Claremore until her health began to decline. Jackie was very involved in mission work and went on several mission trips to Nicaragua. She was an avid collector of lighthouses and as they were a beacon of light to keep ships safe. Jackie was that same beacon of light, to those in the mission field that she steered toward a personal relationship with her Lord and Savior.

Jackie enjoyed the outdoors. She enjoyed spending time at Grand Lake and fishing or just admiring the beauty around her of God’s creations. Jackie liked to garden and had beautiful flower gardens as well as vegetable gardens as her children were growing up. She was an avid reader and was always up for putting a jigsaw puzzle together. Travel was another part of her life and the trips up the east coast to Maine to look at lighthouses were memories that she liked to share. Jackie had the gift of compassion and was the primary care giver for both her mom and dad. At Christmas time she was the fudge and cookie maker, memories her children will cherish for the rest of their lives. Economical at heart, Jackie’s children said not only was their mom a great mom, but she made sure they were well taken care of.

A lady that has left a huge legacy that will live on in the lives of her family, friends and those she touched on the mission field. Jackie is survived by her daughter Cindy Ramsey and husband Aaron, son, Clay Coffman and Brandy Bennett, grandchildren, Chelsea Coffman, Hunter Coffman, Brandon Davis and wife Katie, Courtney Ramsey, Haylee Winkel and husband Garrett and Blake Ramsey, great grandchildren, Alaynna, Jace, Kynlee, Whitlee, Barrett, Parks, Hallie, Weston, and Ada, special friend, Delane Rupe. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Baker.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the Courtyards Assisted Living Center in Claremore for the excellent care Jackie received there.
