Lester A. Miller was born on November 22, 1968, in Bremen, Indiana to Albert and Fannie (Kuhns) Miller. He departed this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the age of 56 years, 1 month, and 9 days. Lester grew up in Nappanee, Indiana and moved to Chouteau, Oklahoma in his late teen years where he met and married the love of his life, Edith Marie Yoder. To this union of 31 years were born six children and later caring for Brylee Sanday from his infancy, making him part of the family.
Lester was a faithful servant of God, husband, father, son, brother, and friend to all and attended Grand Lake Mennonite Church. Lester was skilled in carpentry and auctioneering, and he also was a school teacher for many years. Auctions were a large part of his life and he, along with his wife Edith, started a family auction service 20 years ago. He has made many, many friends along his career and his main goal was to teach his family to be honest, hard-working and God-fearing. Lester made many sacrifices and worked tirelessly day and night to provide for his family. An example of his selfless love for others was being a donor of stem cells for his little sister Arlene who has a rare form of cancer and now his life continues to live on through her.
Lester is survived by seven children, Rebecca, Jonathan and wife Tamra, Naomi and husband Clint, Rachel, Mary, Joshua, and Brylee; two brothers, Nelson and wife Katie, and Cristie and wife Mary; two sisters, Erma and Arlene, 10 nephews, and 7 great nieces and nephews.
Lester was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, wife Edith, two brothers, Samuel at infancy, and Lamar who passed away 9 years to the day prior, and niece Deanna Yoder.
