Thomas Pleasant Lee
"Thomas P. Lee, 79, was born on January 10, 1857, in Arkansas. For 20 years, he has been a resident of the Cardin district. He died at 12:30 a.m., today at his home, one mile west of Cardin. Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Mrs. W. D. Martin of Joplin, Mrs. Martha Couch of Joplin and Mrs Elphy Todd of Cardin, 17 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the home, with the Rev. T. B. Patty of Joplin officiating. The Lane Funeral Home is in charge." Tom's wife, Statirah Wallen Lee is buried in Webb City.
