Submitted by: Ann Weber

Frances Maurine (Westenhaver) Badley joined her Heavenly Father and loved ones the evening of September 8, 2014, at Vici, Oklahoma. Frances, the first child of James and Laura (Boatman) Westenhaver, was born February, 27, 1924, followed by five beloved brothers.

Frances married Albert Badley on September 27, 1941. They made their home in the Webb community until 1965 when they moved to Vici, Oklahoma. Frances and Albert attended the Free Will Baptist Church while living in Webb, and were faithful members of the Church of the Nazarene after moving to Vici. Frances lived in Dewey County all of her life, except for a brief time when they lived in Borger, Texas. She has resided at the Vici Nursing Home the last ten years, where she loved the people and they loved her.

Frances enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and cooking. She always had a supply of cookies and jellies to give to visitors and special items for the little ones. She was a giving person of her time and possessions, and a care-giver to her son, Charles, who was paralyzed in a school bus accident. After moving to Vici Nursing Home, she embroidered tea towels and pillow slips to give as gifts, and also completed several quilt tops.

A godly woman, you could find her reading and studying her Bible daily. This was her guidance and road map to life in good times, and when difficult times came, her faith remained strong.

Frances is survived by her children Larry Badley and wife Marlene, Maurine Simpkins and husband Tony, Judy Pierson and husband Greg, Carrie Randall and husband Kenny and Rickey Badley and wife Susan; brothers Junior Westenhaver and wife Dorothy, Bob Westenhaver and wife Darlene, and Donald Westenhaver and wife Ireta; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren as well as many other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents James and Laura Westenhaver, husband Albert, sons Randy and Charles, brothers Kenneth and Gene and son-in-law Glenn Shreck.
