Funeral services for Nettie Louise (Shelton) Teague, 92, of Sperry, OK, were held Thursday, May 15, 2025, at North Point United Pentecostal Church in Sperry, OK. Reverend Charles Hancock officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Isaac England, Tyler Bobo, Jacob Guffey, Colt Teague, Will Prickett, Talan Holmes, Kobe Burkhalter, and Logan Holmes.
Nettie was born January 27, 1933, in Poteau, OK, to James Oliver Shelton and Belle Emery. She passed away May 11, 2025, in Sperry, OK.
Nettie was married to her husband, Floyd, for over 70 years and together they had 6 six children. She was a dedicated mother to her children and also opened her home as a safe haven to children in need through foster care. Nettie was a lifelong Christian and frequently worshipped at various churches with her cherished family members. She enjoyed fishing, raising chickens, gardening, loving on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and attending family reunions.
She is survived by her children, Eugene Teague and wife, Carolyn of Turley, Bobby Shelton and wife, Sherry of Skiatook, Barbara Fees and husband, Tom of Sperry, and Pam Morrow and husband, Jimmy of Skiatook, Jeff, and Viola; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Teague; sons, Jimmy Teague and David Teague; grandsons, Thomas “Tommy” Fees and Danny Teague; twin great-granddaughters, Anna Prickett and Emma Prickett; parents, James Shelton and Belle Emery; and 7 siblings.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
