Funeral services for Joe Doyle Silcox, 65, of Broken Arrow, OK, were held Friday, May 30, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Levi Blue officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Nadia Blue, Elijah Blue, Logan Arnold, Brian Silcox, Jack Blue and Chris Blue. Honorary Casket bearers were Darrell Silcox, Sr., Brent Silcox, Scott Tindle, Stuart Tindle, Derek Chute, and Darrell Silcox, Jr.
Joe was born December 2, 1959, in Tulsa, OK, to Edward Lee Silcox and Juanita Christine (Wilson) Silcox. He passed away May 25, 2025, in Broken Arrow, OK.
Joe was a dedicated iron worker in the construction industry, known for his strong work ethic and craftsmanship. A man of deep faith, he found joy in reading, especially his Bible and was a devoted daily prayer warrior. Affectionately known as "Joe Cool", he had a lifelong fondness for Snoopy, proudly collecting a wide array of Snoopy memorabilia that brought him much happiness.
He is survived by his children, Sarah McAfee, and Joshua Helvey; parents, Edward and Sharon Silcox; siblings, Darrell Silcox, Brent Silcox, and Brenda Blue, Scott Tindle and wife, Jerriann, Stuart Tindle, and Shelly Chute and husband, Derek; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Juanita Silcox; sister, Karen Stanley; nephew, John Ray Blue; niece, Brigitte Christine Jones; and grandparents, Fred and Velma Silcox, James Ebb, and Almedia Wilson.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
