Richard Leland Lloyd was born June 1, 1933 in Sperry, OK to Leland and Allie Mae (Downey) Lloyd. Upon graduation from high school in 1952, Richard entered the U.S. Army serving for two years. He started work for the Gas Service as dispatcher in 1955. He married Jeanie Supernaw on December 31, 1958 in Skiatook. Richard also worked for the G.C. Richardson Ranch for several years and enjoyed working with cattle, horses and raising good stock dogs. He was always ready to help fellow neighbors and ranchers with their chores, was usually the first there in the morning to start work and never left until the job was completed. Richard won numerous awards with his horses. He has sold many horses during his lifetime and what he told you about a horse, you could take what he said to the bank, it was the truth.
Richard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanie Lloyd of Ramona, his brother, Pat and Sandy Lloyd and family of Skiatook, sister-in-law, Bonnie Lloyd and family, cousins and many friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Kenneth, Curtis, Dean and Roger Lloyd, sister, Maxine Rollman and much loved nephew, Bill Rollman.
