Funeral services for Cathy Deneice (Wells) Harvey, 66, of Sperry, OK, were held Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Pastor Kenn Watson officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Robert "Bob" Harvey, Dennis Harvey, Jason Harvey, and Max Wells.
Cathy was born February 26, 1959, in Bakersfield, CA, to Clarence Ray Wells and Barbra Louise "Lucy" (Robison) Wells. She passed away July 19, 2025, in Tulsa, OK.
Cathy worked as a professional seamstress for several years, making custom drapes, special bonnets for babies and worked on several projects with leather. She went on to her own professional commercial cleaning business, Jani-King, and also worked for T-Town Bumpers in Collinsville. She was a member of the Turley Thrill Riders, a square dancing on horseback team that performed at numerous rodeos. Her Palamino horse named General was so well trained he knew when it was time to drill. Cathy loved tending to her garden and flowers and also owned several chickens; they were her girls. She loved animals of all kinds. Cathy enjoyed fishing and she was the kind of girl you wanted to take with you; she even baited her own hooks, cleaned and cooked the fish. She was also good at backing in a trailer if you needed her too. She was one of the best and would help anyone who asked. She took excellent care of her family. She was one of the most hard-working and strong-minded women you will ever see. You didn't dare tell her she couldn't do something; she would do any task given to her with all her spunk and grit!
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert "Bob" Harvey of the home; sons, Dennis Harvey of Sperry, and Jason Harvey and wife, Tiffany Holmes of Claremore; brother, Max Wells and wife, Judy of Sand Springs; several nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lucy Wells; brother, Billy Wells; her grandparents; and several other aunts and uncles.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
