Zelda was born November 18, 1937, in Coalgate, OK, to Harry Leroy Wilson and Audrey Mae (Griffith) Wilson. She passed away June 2, 2025, in Bartlesville, OK.
Zelda dedicated much of her life to hard work and caring for those she loved. Over the years, she held positions at Guarantee Laundry, American Airlines, and Zebco, all in Tulsa, as well as Carl Jr. and the Statuary in Skiatook. A woman of many talents and a heart full of love, Zelda enjoyed reading and treasured the times spent playing games with her family during their gatherings. She found joy in crocheting, but her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Zelda was cherished for her warmth and hospitality, especially in the kitchen. Her fried chicken was the stuff of family legend, and her biscuits and gravy were unmatched, no one could make them quite like Mama. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and home-cooked memories that will be treasured always.
She is survived by her sons, Michael "Mike" Harris and wife, Carrie of Barnsdall, Ron Harris and wife, Brenda of Bartlesville, and Tommy Harris of Skiatook; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia "Patsy" Boyd of Talking Rock, GA, and Peggy Salyer of Skiatook; brothers, Teddy Wilson, of Sumter, SC, and Howard Wilson of Skiatook; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Harris; her father, Harry Leroy Wilson; her mother, Audrey May Wilson; and sisters, Grace King, and Rosetta Lee.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
