Graveside services for Shirley Jean (Hale) Crain, 89, of Owasso, OK, were held Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson and John Wayne Cloud officiated.
Shirley was born March 28, 1936, in Sperry, OK, to Newton William Hale and Jacksie Lola (Dale) Hale. She passed away May 14, 2025, in Owasso, OK.
Shirley was born and raised in Sperry and graduated from Sperry High School with the class of 1955. She married Bobby Crain in 1954, and they had two sons. Shirley was a member of the Sperry Methodist Church and later joined Osage Oaks Church of God. She worked for several companies, including Lewis Travel Trailers of Owasso, and Sperry Schools Cafeteria. She enjoyed trips to Branson, traveling and shopping. She was a big fan of and followed the OU Sooners football team.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Heather and Haylee of Broken Arrow; sister, Carol Culbert of Owasso; daughter-in-law, Brenda Crain of Broken Arrow; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sons Steven Dale Crain and Kevin Eugene Crain; parents, Newton and Jacksie Hale; sister, Joyce Brown; brothers, Bobby Hale, and Jackie Hale; and niece, Michelle Standlee.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
