Mrs. Thelma Louise (Townley) White, 79, died at 6:55 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, in the Barnsdall Care Center, Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 4, in the Arnold Moore-Barnsdall Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Phil Clements will be the officiant. Committal prayers and interment will be directed in the Ethel Reece Cemetery by the Arnold Moore-Barnsdall Funeral Home. Visitation for Mrs. White will be on Wednesday, June 2, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on Thursday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thelma Louise Townley was born May 12, 1931 at Barnsdall, Oklahoma in Osage County. She was the daughter of Alonzo Cleveland Townley and Mary Alice (Wilson) Townley. Thelma was reared and completed her education in the Barnsdall Public Schools. She was married to Mr. Ernest E. White on November 3, 1947 at Barnsdall and they moved to and resided in Oxnard, California. Thelma returned to Barnsdall in 1972. She was then married to Mr. Walter Luther Dittman, and he preceded her in death. Mrs. White is survived by her children, Michael DeWayne White of Bartlesville; Gala Jean (White) Blom, Yuma, Colorado; Peggy Louise (White) Sherman, Dewey, Okla.; and Vickie Dawn White, Bartlesville; her children's father, Ernest E. White, Dewey; her brothers, James Andy "Jenks" Townley and Henry Thomas Townley, both of Barnsdall; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Lucian M. Townley, Fred A. Townley, John W. Townley, Leburn W. Townley and Leo C. Townley; her twin sister, Velma; and a sister, Mrs. Lillian E. Taylor.
