Caryoln Joy Lorton Townley was 78 years of age. She was born on April 19, 1939 to the late Archie and Letha Mable “Jones” Lorton. She passed away on January 24, 2018 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Caryoln received her education in Barnsdall Public Schools. She was married to the late Henry Thomas Townley on December 23, 1955 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma. They lived the Army life from Ladd Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska, to Point Fort Ord California, and was discharged out in Fort Hood Texas. She raised her children in Barnsdall, Oklahoma. She had a Rec. Center “The Good Time,” where she sold hamburgers for twenty-five cents a piece at lunch time. Caryoln worked at the Barnsdall Nursing Home for 18 years. She private sit with several elderly families in Osage County until she retired.
Surviving her are: daughter Rela Jean Townley Frazier and son Tom Levi Townley both of Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Three sisters; Faye and Pat Pearson, Verla and Dan Branstetter and Betty Thomas, all of Barnsdall. Two brother's Bill and Freddie Ann Lorton of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Rev. Leon and Kathy Lorton of Wolf City, Texas. She has six grandchildren: Austin and wife Stacey, Dustin Frazier and Rebecka Surritte, Beau Townley and Christina Fairchild, Nicki and Christopher Mullin, Whitney and Mark Scullawl, Skyler and Lacey Davis. She has 12 great grandchildren and two very special friends Betty Miller of Skiatook and Ruth Cranford of Griffin, Georgia.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Archie Willard and Letha Mable “Jones” Lorton, infant daughter Rhonda Joy Townley, sister Lynn Zaun and brother-in-law Eddie Zaun, brother-in-law Kenneth Thomas, and son-in-law David “Butch” Frazier.
