Jeffrey Wayne Swanson, 34, life long resident of Barnsdall, Beloved son, brother and uncle, died at 3:41 p.m. on Thursday in the St. John Hospital in Tulsa. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday in the First Baptist Church in Barnsdall with Pastor Brian Long officiating. Interment will be in the East Ethel Reece Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home-Barnsdall. A memorial has been established and those who wish to make a contribution in memory of Jeffrey may do so to: Muscular Dystrophy Association 3015 E. Skelly Drive Suite 221, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74105. Jeffrey Wayne Swanson was born February 13, 1976 at Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Alfred Bart and Sandra Lee (Brown) Swanson. He grew up and received his education in Barnsdall graduating high school there in 1995. He attended Northeastern A & M College at Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Jeffrey was employed at Mingo Manufacturing at Owasso and had worked at Superior Welding, M.G.M. and Siemens' all in Bartlesville. He has been self employed for some time with his own lawn care business.
Survivors include; his parents Alfred and Sandra Swanson; one brother Richard Allen Swanson; one sister Melissa Ann Lemmons and her husband Terry; his paternal grandparents Zella and Loyal Swanson all of Barnsdall; his maternal grandmother Ammie Brown of Bartlesville; his niece Amanda Swanson and his nephew Karl Swanson both of Hominy; long time friend Rev. Mark Hester of Grove, Oklahoma and his beloved dog Mutley. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his grandfather Lee Roy Brown.
