Roy Overacker
Roy Overacker, 83, native areas resident and interior and exterior decorator in the Barnsdall community for many years died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. , Saturday in New Ethel Reece Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Davolt officiating. Committal prayers and interment will be under the direction of Arnold Moore-Barnsdall Funeral Service.
Mr. Overacker will lie in state in Arnold Moore-Barnsdall Funeral Home where friends my call for their visitation until he is moved for graveside rites on Saturday morning.
Mr. Overacker was born on February 21, 1910, at Ochelata, Washington County, Oklahoma, one of 12 children, to Howard and Hestella (Griffith) Overacker. He was reared and received his education in Washington County and attended Tyner School at Ochelata. He was later associated with religious track ministry. He was active as an interior and exterior decorator until he retired in 1977. Since that time, the Overacker's have continued to make their retirement in Barnsdall. He was a member of the Fire Baptized Holiness Church in Barnsdall.
