Edgar Bruce Ramsay, 67, resident of Barnsdall, died at 7:55 PM, Wednesday in Bartlesville.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday in the Ethel Reece Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff-Barnsdall Funeral Home. Military honors will be accorded by the Webster-Schrack Post # 277 at the graveside.
Edgar Bruce Ramsay was born on November 17, 1946 at Hobbs, New Mexico the son of James Woody and Elizabeth (English) Ramsay. He joined the US Navy in November of 1963 and transferred to the Marine Corp in 1965. He went to Chulai, Viet Nam. He was released from active duty in November of 1967 and honorably discharged in December of 1969. He had worked as a Construction Superintendent and Construction Manager on numerous Petro-Chemical, Power Plants, Pipelines and Compressor Stations worldwide. He retired in 1995 due to a spinal injury. He came to Barnsdall in 1993 and moved there and made it his home in 1995. He married Diana Marie Ward on October 11, 2013.
His is survived by his wife Diana Marie Ramsay of the home, four daughters, Elizabeth Ramsay Asire of Clute, Texas, Shelly Covington of Duncan, Oklahoma, Tina Gallaway of Moore, Oklahoma and Melissa Thomason of Ardmore, Oklahoma and two granddaughters and numerous grand and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
