The community of Barnsdall, along with many loved ones are saddened by the loss of a life-long resident, Billy Jack Dildine who was known to all as B.J. BJ was born in Roswell, New Mexico on November 21, 1954 to Bill Joe Dildine and Benna Jeane (Baker) Dildine. The Dildine's returned to Barnsdall, where BJ was raised and graduated from Barnsdall High School. He attended Northern Oklahoma College where he studied Mechanical Engineering, also where he met and married his college sweetheart, Roberta Ann (Fark) Dildine on July 5, 1975. After a brief stay in OKC building firetrucks for Boardman Company, they made their home in Barnsdall, where they lived until his passing on September 2, 2019. BJ loved his community. He worked at the local factory Bareco, which is now known as BHGE for 42 years and recently retired along with serving many years as the secretary of the OCAW Union. He served on the Fire Dept for 20 years, retiring as the Fire Chief, along with serving many years as an EMT on the ambulance service. He served as Mayor of Barnsdall and on the city council. He spent a lot of time with his family that he loved very much and enjoyed watching his granddaughter, Lainey, who was the apple of his eye, rodeo and all of her events. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent ample amounts of time with all of his buddies of whom he had many. BJ was a cancer survivor and was very devoted to worshiping God and spending time with his church family. He had been an faithful member of the Cowboy Church and of The First Freewill Baptist church in Barnsdall.
Surviving BJ are his wife Robbie of the home, his son Brent of Bartlesville, daughter Stacey Tarwater and her husband Dubber and granddaughter Lainey Mae Tarwater of Barnsdall, his brothers Bruce and wife Melanie Dildine of Barnsdall; Glenn and wife Rebecca Dildine of Barnsdall, inlaws: Father-in-law Harold Fark, brother and sisters-in-law: John and Mona Keeline of Skiatook, Chris and Jeanine Fark, Lance Fark & Heather Harvey of Colorado Springs, CO. and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles, neices and nephews scattered all over. BJ was preceded in death by his parents Bill & Benna Dildine, Grandparents Crayton & Lula Dildine and Ben & Elva Baker.
Services will be held Friday September 6, 2019 at 2:00PM at The First Freewill Baptist Church, 200 W. Chestnut, Barnsdall, OK.
Viewing for friends and family will be September 5, 2019 from 12:00pm-8pm at Stumpff's Funeral Home in Barnsdall.
Services will be conducted by Pastors: Rick Shipley & Rick Loggins.
