Charlene Mae Beaver, 80, resident of Bartlesville, died at 5:45 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the Ethel Reece Cemetery with Pastor Charles Brazil of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Skiatook and Pastor Rick Loggins of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Barnsdall, officiating. Graveside services and interment will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

A memorial has been established and those who wish to make a contribution in memory of Mrs. Beaver may do so to: First Freewill Baptist Church P.O. Box 328 Barnsdall, Oklahoma 74002.

Charlene Mae Beaver was born January 14, 1933 at Stroud, Oklahoma to Charles Thomas and Mamie (Wallace) Connolly. She was raised and received her education in the Chilocco Boarding School at Newkirk, Oklahoma. Mrs. Beaver was married to Edgar E. Beaver on July 2, 1950 at the Okmulgee Indian Baptist Church at Okmulgee, Oklahoma. They made their home in Barnsdall since 1988. Mrs. Beaver was active with her husband in the church operation all of their married life. Mrs. Beaver was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Barnsdall. She moved to Bartlesville, in 2011 to be near family.

Survivors include: one daughter Sheryl Ann Russell and her husband Dr. Tracy Russell; one son Michael Lee Beaver also of Bartlesville; one sister Louise Riska of Minnesota; one grandson Trevor Wayne Jones and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Beaver was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter Norma Jean Beaver and one brother John L. Rice.
