Lona Lee Aultz, 70, of Barnsdall went home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday with her family by her side.
Lona was born in Stilwell, OK, on May 23, 1944. She was raised in northeast Oklahoma and graduated from Pryor High School in 1962. Lona moved to Bartlesville to attend Beauty College but quickly realized she was more suited for secretary training. She was united in marriage with Richard Aultz on June 20, 1964, and one daughter Ava was born to this union. They enjoyed just over 50 years together. Lona started her 37 year career with Phillips Petroleum Co. and held many positions over the years retiring in 2002 as a Statistical Analyst.
Lona was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Barnsdall. After her retirement they spent summers at Eagles Nest, New Mexico, where they enjoyed mild summers together. Lona loved to quilt, read and listen to her favorite music. Her greatest passion in life was her family and she spoiled her daughter Ava and husband Richard with her love. She will be dearly missed.
Lona is survived by her husband Richard of the home, one daughter Ava Edens and Rick of Tulsa, one brother John Gregory of Bartlesville, and two nephews Jeff Oakes of Houston and David Oakes of San Antonio.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at the Ethel Reece Cemetery, with Rev. Pat Andrews and Rev. Jim Brunk officiating. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared with Lona's family at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
