Sylvia Trent passed away June 21 at the home of her daughter, Carolyn, in Bristow.
Sylvia was born Oct. 15, 1923 in Pawhuska. She and Dewey Trent were married on Sept. 7, 1939, and had fifty-five loving years together. She was active in the Lodges in Pawhuska in her early years. She retired from the Tax Department at the Osage County Courthouse. Sylvia enjoyed being outside working in her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers, her loving husband, Dewey, their son, Benny Trent, and their daughter, Judy Swift.
Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Carolyn and son-in-law, Ken Lane; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held June 26, 2 p.m., in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Pastor Jim Wilson, Pawhuska First Church of the Nazarene, will officiate. Interment will follow.
