Bonnie Maye (Swan) (Christenson) Fadely , age 73, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 in the Clearwater Nursing Home, Clearwater, Kansas.
Bonnie was born December 9, 1940 in Hominy, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ray and Ora (Harris) Swan. She had three sisters, Barbara (Swan) Duede, Donna (Swan) Shepherd and Sharon (Swan) Roland. She graduated from Nelagoney High School in 1958. In 1959, Bonnie married Bob Christenson in Nelagoney. They were married for 21 years. The couple had two children together, Bobbie Ray Christenson and Wendy Gayle Dunn. Bonnie later married Lannie E. Fadely in November of 1994 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
An avid basketball player, Bonnie continued to play on an independent basketball team following high school. Over the years, she worked in various facets of the trucking industry with Braylines, Tom Inman and Jaylines Trucking. She retired in 2003 as the administrative assistant at Pawhuska Hospital. Bonnie lived and worked in the Kansas and Oklahoma areas throughout her life. In her spare time, she loved dancing, shoping and spending time with her family.
She is survived by: Her son: Bobbie Christenson of Pawhuska, OK; Daughter: Wendy Dunn and husband, Eric, of Norwich, KS; Grandchildren: James Christenson and wife, Angie, of Goddard, KS; Jessica Lane and husband, Cody, of Pawhuska; Tucker Dunn of Norwich, KS; Great grandchildren: Collin, Josee and Paislee Lane; and Reese and Ellsie Christenson; Siblings: Barbara Duede and husband, Jack, of Bartlesville, OK; Sharon Roland and husband, Doug, of Wichita, KS. and a host of other family and friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ora Swan; sister, Donna Shepherd; and husband, Lannie Fadely.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Calvary Baptist Church of Pawhuska.
