Esther Ellen Sowards, 68 of Claremore, OK passed away Sunday, October 5, 2008. She was born March 11, 1940 in Collinsville, OK to Jess L. Morris and the former Theresa Huffpaiur. She was a retired Dietary Worker at St. Johns Hospital. She was a member of Dietary Manager's Association, a lifetime member of D.A.V. Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion in Skiatook.

She is survived by 2 sons: Jerry Dean Dirickson and his wife Kristie of Claremore and Jeffery Donald Dirickson and his wife Tracy. 1 Daughter: Lisa Ellen Richards. 2 Brothers: Jess Morris, Jr. of Collinsville and Dan Morris of Alaska. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband: Shelley Sowards.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2009 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Helmer Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
