Funeral services for Geraldine Dolores Day, 86 of Skiatook, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the Freewill Baptist Church in Skiatook, with Pastor Mitch Leonard officiating.

Interment in Osage Garden Cemetery in Skiatook is under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Skiatook. Casket Bearers for the service are Travis Fowler-Harkrider, Terry Day, Lloyd Wayne Hudson, Kyle Agnew, Tommy Hudson and Jay Hudson. Honorary casket bearers are Evan Agnew, Brayden Agnew and Joe Coombes.

Geraldine was born on September 5, 1936 in Sperry, OK to Walton Thomas and Esther Kathleen (Perkins) Hudson. She attended school at Turley Cherokee and Tulsa Central High School. She married James Jaydee Day on September16, 1953 and they made their home in Tulsa until moving to Sperry in 1970. Geraldine retired from Zebco Brunswick. She loved the Lord and was saved and baptized and now a member of the Skiatook Freewill Baptist Church. Geraldine loved her grand kids and being a Grandma. On one occasion Geraldine and Kristen were fishing in the pond in front of the house when Kristen had a fish on her line and needed help getting it out of the pond. It was fun watching the two of them get the fish out of the water without losing it. It was 6 pounds and 21 inches long. Geraldine enjoyed crocheting afghans and gave most of them to friends and family. After Jaydee retired they traveled a lot going on Travel Tours. They saw a lot of the country and had fun with the nice people they met along the way.

She is survived by her son James David Day, three grandchildren: Leslie Agnew, Kristen Day, Terry Day, four great grandchildren and two brothers: Ralph E. Hudson and wife Connie of Owasso; Eddie L. Hudson and wife Debbie of Texas

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband James of 55 years of marriage.
