Funeral services for Ethel May Youtsey Miller, of Jennings were held Friday May 10, 2002 at 10:00 am in the sanctuary of the Terlton Baptist Church.Officiating were Rev. Rex Hecox and Rev. Louis Speck. Burial followed at Terlton Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc Ethel May Hodson, of Jennings was born May 14, 1910 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma to Johnathan Andrew and Sarah Rosalind (Gregg) Hodson. She passed away May 6, 2002 at Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years 11 months and 22 days Ethel grew up in Osage County living in Pawhuska, Hominy and Ralston areas. She received her education from the Hominy and the South Enterprise Schools. During Ethel’s life she was united in marriage to Lloyd Youtsey, Troy Dixon, Eugene Miller and Carl Boundy. Throughout that time she lived in the Terlton, Cleveland and until the later years Jennings. Ethel loved to work in her garden, tend to her chickens, work outside and she was also a great cook. Ethel subscribed to all of the local newspapers to read weekly. She also clipped the ads from the local grocery stores no matter how far away they were to save a penny. Ethel was a member of the Terlton Baptist Church and Life member of the Terlton Senior Citizens.
Ethel May is survived by her children, Lloyd Youtsey Jr. of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Doris Jean Stevenson of Eucha, Oklahoma; Leo Tillman Youtsey of Hominy, Oklahoma; Dorothy Ann Purcell of Mannford, Oklahoma; Raymond Youtsey of Cleveland, Oklahoma. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, four husbands, an infant child, four brothers : Emory, Ira, Amos, Alva and a half brother Johnny.
Pallbearers were Bill Payne, Bill Hickson, Bailey Hickson, Bob Hickson, Ray Hickson, and Melvin Pierce.
