Ricky Loyd "Rick" Meyers was born Sept. 17, 1958 in Wichita, KS to Loyd Deo Meyers and Noma Drake Meyers.
He was fun loving, full of life and love; he loved sports of all kinds mainly golf, football and fishing. His favorite teams was OU Sooners and Pittsburgh Steelers.
He went to rest in heaven on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011 after a brief illness. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Alfreda, of the home; his son, Derek Meyers, Ponca City, OK; two daughters, Lacy Taylor, her husband,… Dusty Taylor, grandson, Landon Meyers-Taylor of Noble, OK; Amber Idlett, her husband, John Idlett, grandchildren, Makeighla. Keisha, and little Jaxon Idlett, Lexington, OK. One sister, Cecilia Rains, Apache Junction, AZ; 8 nephews, Dale Cruz, Phoenix, AZ; Loyd White, Winkelman, AZ; James White, Elma, Washington; Michael Austin, Leslie Clark, Wayde Clark, Kelly Clark, and Bret Clark, Arkansas City, KS. Two neices, Cendie McCracken, Montrose, CO; Amanda Austin, Arkansas City, KS. As well as many unmentioned nephews, neices, family, and friends.
Passing before him were his stillborn daughter, Erica Ann; his parents, Loyd Deo and Noma Drake Meyers, 3 sisters, Doris White, Debbie Austin, Dona Clark and many other loved ones.
There will be viewing at Trout Funeral Home, 505 W. Grand, Ponca City, Wed., Feb 9, and Thurs., Feb 10, 2011 until 8 pm.
Funeral Services will be held Fri. Feb.11, 2011 at 2 pm at Stillwater Church of the Firstborn, Stillwater, OK.
Graveside services will be held at Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax, OK, at 4:30 pm., Fri., Feb 11, 2011.
He will be greatly missed.
