Jacquelyn "Jackie" Harrison, 85, of Fairfax, Oklahoma joined the love of her life, J. Berry Harrison, in heaven on April 7, 2025. Jacquelyn Harrison was born in 1939 in Boynton, Oklahoma. She was raised by her mother Gladys Barns Logan and Dr. J. A. Logan in Muskogee. Jackie had one brother Jerry Manton Hobbs. She attended public school in Muskogee. Further continuing her education at Northeaster College in Tahlequah she earned a Speech and Language Therapy Degree, graduating in the Spring of 1961.
Jackie married J. Berry Harrison, rancher and former Senator at the age of 22 and the couple made their first home in the Fairfax area. They were married almost 60 years at the time of his passing in 2020. Together they had two children, J. Berry Harrison Jr. and Tracie Harrison.
Her first job was at the Opportunity Center in Ponca City where she had a passion in working with mentally challenged students. She was then hired by the Osage County Coop where she worked in Burbank, Shidler, Pawhuska and Fairfax schools.
Jackie belonged to P.E.O., Study Club and served on the Osage County Housing Authority Board for several years. Her enjoyments included being with family, annual trips to Mayo Clinic in Florida with her husband and granddaughter, eating out, cooking, visiting, sitting on her front porch and tending to her beloved cat "Bitsy."
Today she is survived by her daughter Tracie Harrison of Stillwater, her son J. Berry Harrison Jr. and wife Karen of Fairfax, grandchildren J. Berry Harrison III (Bo) and wife Hayley of Fairfax, Drew Harrison and wife Breanna of Fairfax, Harrison Redden of Dallas and Jolie Redden of Stillwater. Great grandchildren Harper, Berry Beth and Jake Harrison, all of Fairfax as well as many other family and friends.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Logan, her husband J. Berry Harrison Sr. and her brother Jerry Manton Hobbs.
A time of visitation will be from 2pm to 7pm, Thursday, April 10, at the Hunsaker Wooten Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 2pm, Friday, April 11, 2025 at the First Osage Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Ayers officiating. Interment will promptly follow in the Fairfax City Cemetery where she will rest beside her husband for eternity.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: J. Berry Harrison III, Drew Harrison, Harrison Redden, her nephew Jeff Eubank and close friends James Mashburn and Maddox Roach. Honorary Pallbearers are Bob Rice, Bill Lytle, Burley Hathcoat and David Eubank.
Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Jackie to the First Osage Baptist Church, 236 S. Main, Fairfax or the charity of your choice.
