Betty Ann Adams, resident of Ponca City, passed away on September 19, 2008 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 60. Betty was born the daughter of Jack Odell Hutchison and Helen Marie Riley Hutchison on May 23, 1948 in Fairfax, Oklahoma. She grew up in Fairfax and attended Fairfax Public Schools. On January 22, 1965 she married her high school sweetheart, Robert Adams in Fairfax. To this union, three children were born. The couple made their first home in Fairfax, and then in 1971 they moved to Ponca City. Betty was a very creative person and she loved to write. She enjoyed attending any and all sporting events including softball, football and track and field. Her favorite television shows were Dancing with the Stars and King of the Hill. She loved crystal, and as a result she had quite a collection. She also liked to collect dolls. Betty loved spending time with her family and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert of Ponca City, Oklahoma; children, Shawna Hightower of Houston, Texas, Doug Adams and wife, Anjy of Nixa, Missouri and Amy Rich and husband, Kevin of Eaton, Colorado; sister, Sherry Mashburn; brother, Mickey Hutchison; grandchildren, Haili Gibson, Kelsie Hightower, Cody Hightower, Alexis Adams, Jaxon Adams, Paxton Adams, Ryder Rich and Roper Rich. She is preceded in death by her father; and two grandchildren, Ryder Lynn Rich and Rylee ReAnn Rich. Casket bearers for the service will be Donnie Wood, Danny Merciez, Josh Hutchison, Jack Merciez, Alan Dooley and Justin Mashburn. Honorary casket bearers will be Cody Hightower, Jack Hutchinson, T.J. Hutchison, Jordan Hutchison and Toby Mashburn. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Fairfax Cemetery with Reverend George Weston officiating. Memorial contributions can be made in Bettys honor to The American Heart Association, P.O. Box 841125, Dallas, Texas 75284. Arrangements are under the direction of Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home.
