corzette-d-f

July 23, 1970 ~ August 16, 2025

Dee Corzette, 55, passed away at her home in Bristow, Oklahoma on Saturday, August 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a two-year bare-knuckled brawl with colon cancer.

Deede Waynette Fitzgerald was born July 23, 1970, in Guymon, Okla. to Wayne Allen "Slick" and Hellen Louise (Hogg) Fitzgerald. She attended schools in Burbank, Shidler, and Satanta, Kansas.

An intensely private woman, she loved being in her home, with her family around her, cooking. In recent years she mastered smoking meat and provided her famous pork butt, macaroni salad, and baked beans for family gatherings. She enjoyed a big garden, canning salsa, pickles, and jelly. She enjoyed baking and trying new cookie recipes. She loved her family passionately and tended to be a "Momma Bear" if needed. She enjoyed watching WWE, (especially Shaemus), The Walking Dead, and all cooking shows. She loved all things Irish. She was a member of the Bristow Church of Christ where she received and gave much love and support.

She is survived and deeply missed by her husband Jim Corzette, mother Hellen Fitzgerald; daughter ShaLee (McKeever) Hall, grandsons Zander and Hayden of Beggs; son Alex Christian, (Kaycee Dunham), grandsons AJ, Nick, Wyatt, and granddaughter Emylynn of Jennings; sons Christopher Corzette (Sarah), Justin Corzette, Timmy (Angela) Bailey, and Emmett Bailey all of the home. Siblings brother Skeeter (Jamie) Sears of Ralston; sisters Sheila Blisard and Tammy Emerson of Brownwood, Texas, Deb (Jerry) McDaniel of Wright, Kansas; nieces Amanda Skagges, Morrigan Juul, Krista Blisard, Rachel (Corey) Mayhall, Kastl Cannon, and nephews Ty Sears and Patrick Fitzgerald.

She was preceded in death by her sister Kellye Fitzgerald, father "Slick" Fitzgerald, grandmothers Lottie Mallow and Viola Moore.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Burbank Cemetery with Pastor Allen Conkling officiating. Immediately following Deede will be buried beside her family. Arrangements are in the care of Hunsaker Wooten Funeral Home, Fairfax, Oklahoma.
