Laura Goodman a resident of Dewar, OK passed away on July 2, 2004 in Henryetta at the age of 88.
Laura was born on January 7, 1915 in Deshler, Nebraska to Fred and Pearl (VanMeter) Isch. While in Nebraska Laura worked for a Broom Factory, she then came to Oklahoma and worked as a cook at a Daycare center in McAlester. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and attended the Baptist Church. She married Harry Goodman and is preceded in death by him, her parents and a sister Helen Hendrick.
Survived by Son: M.G. "Bob" Goodman and wife Jean of Dewar, Granddaughter: Gerry Ann Julien of Calif., Tammie Nixon and husband Terry of Stillwater, Great Grandchildren: Tesha Hum, Trey Nixon and Hilary E. Julien, Niece: Lou Sams of Henryetta, Several great nieces and nephews.,br>
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at the Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating with Rev. Don Walker, assisting.
Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
