Mescal Mary George, a resident of the Wilson Community, was born June 5, 1921 in Wilson Community, Oklahoma to Ethel and Frank Owen.

She passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008 in Henryetta, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years 7 months and 11 days.

She was a School Teacher for 40 years for the Graham & Weleetka Schools.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband Fred George on December 11, 1982, and by one sister, Guila Lee Owen.

She is survived by her aunt, Sibyl Chancey, Bryant Community; cousin, Jacklyn Houghton & husband George, Bryant; and Durward Chancey, Bryant; as well as a host of other relatives & friends.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 10:00 am at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta officiated by Rev. George Christy. Services are under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
