Dorthy Evelyn (Pippin) Thompson

Dorthy Evelyn (Pippin) Thompson a resident of Henryetta passed away on Sunday March 4, 2007 at the age of 85 years and 21 days. She was born in Kusa, OK, February 11, 1922 to Arthur and Jewell (Blankenship) Pippin.

Dorthy grew up and spent most of her life near the town of Henryetta. She accepted Christ and was baptized in the General Assembly and Church of the First Born in Henryetta on June 17, 1937 by Brother Loyal Thompson. She attended school at Plainview south of Henryetta.

Dorthy married Paul Thompson in Henryetta on January 15, 1938.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Jewell Pippin. One son Franklin Gene Arthur Thompson. Her husband of 58 years and 7 months, Paul Allen Thompson on August 23, 1996. Together they owned and operated the Thompson's Greenhouse in Schulter, Ok for almost thirty years.

Dorthy is survived by seven sons and three daughters.

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, brethren in Christ and friends
Service will 2:00pm., Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gary Greenfield and Brother Reggie Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at the Salem Cemetery southeast of Henryetta under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
