Marvin L. Storts, a resident of Henryetta was born June 25, 1935 in Wetumka, OK, he passed this life on November 30, 2007 in Henryetta, Ok at the age of 72. He attended Moss School and Married Doris Mott in Dustin, Ok on June 2, 1953 and moved to Holdenville,Ok. In 1965 he felt the call to the ministry and moved his family to Henryetta where he pastured the First Church of God for 35 years. He also worked at the local I.G.A., Kennedy Lumber and the owned and operated Marvin's Plumbing and Electrical Supply until he retired. He will be remembered for his great love for his family, friends and God.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Odell Storts and Lola (Bratcher) Storts of Wetumka. One brother Billy Storts and a sister, Dorothy Storts.
Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Doris Storts of the home. Three Sons: Terry & wife Ann Storts of Bristow Robby & wife Shelly Storts of Sapulpa, Ok, Brian & wife Beth Storts of Coweta, Two Daughters: Sherry & husband John Fowler of Pauls Valley, OK, Lana & husband Dan Rose of Henryetta, Sisters: Rosella & husband Harvey Hughes of Wetumka, Janice Eller of Allen, OK, Carolyn & husband Jerry Barrowann of Bethany, OK, June & Husband James Sorrell of Wetumka, OK, Brothers: Robert & wife Carol Storts of Bethany, Ok, Jim & wife Theresa Storts of Knoxville, TN Larry & wife Marilyn Storts of Allen, OK, 12 Grandchildren: Autumn & Mark Ledbetter, Nathan & Sarah Storts, Logan Rose, Daniel Storts, Anna Fowler, Deanae & Derek Storts, Brianna & Dylan Storts, Katie, Alyson & Joseph Watson, Great Grandsons: Grant & Andrew Ledbetter.
Family will be receiving friends at the Funeral Home Sunday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
Services will 2:00pm, Monday, December 3, 2007 at the Henryetta First Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Wrinkle, Brother John Ewers and Brother Johnny Snyder. Interment will follow at the New Senora Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
