The United States of America issued a land patent to Hudson Trice, Homestead Certificate No. 721, Application No. 3500, for the SE 1/4 of Sec. 7 in T12N of R2W of I.M. in Oklahoma Territory. The document was filed November 21, 1901. The land would have several owners before the cemetery was established that would bear his name.Mr. Trice must have filed his application several years before receiving his land patent, because Fannie Wakefield, Monroe Trice, Kirk Adelia Trice, {possibly heirs}, sold the S1/2 of Sec. 7, T12N, R2W, to John Jenkins and J. S. Brown on March 26, 1897 for $500.00. On June 29, 1901, Dealia Trice, Monroe Trice and Kirk Trice sold the N1/2 of the land to Fannie Smith for $150.00.A Tax Deed was issued to J. H. Mitchell for 160 acres, SE1/4 of Sec. 7, T12N, R2W, I.M. on December 16, 1901. Mr. Mitchell eventually signed a Quit Claim Deed to Emmett W. Caruthers. Mr. Caruthers then issued a Warranty Deed to Curtis E. Wells.Curtis E. Wells signed a warranty deed on January 17, 1922 in consideration of $1350.00 in hand paid, do....sell unto the Trice Hill Cemetery Association, a corporation....real property in Oklahoma County, State of Oklahoma, to-wit:Ten acres of SE1/4 of Section {7} seven Township {12} twelve Range {2} two west commencing at a stone in the middle of the road, marking the Government Survey at the southeast corner of said section running thence west seven hundred and twenty six {726} feet, thence north six hundred {600} feet, thence east seven hundred twenty six {726} feet, thence south six hundred {600} feet to place of beginning.
