Truman E. West

Truman E. West, 88, "went home" early Wednesday morning July 20, 2005 after a long illness. He was born in Atwood, OK, April 6, 1917, to Marlin R. and Bertha M. West. Truman is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruby, and their four children: Don and his wife, Marian, step-daughter, Molly Bailey (Norman), Ronnie West, Glenda Gibbons, all of Del City, and Gerald West, Tulsa; brother: Wendell West and wife Ruth, of Dumas, TX, and his sister: Imogene Sherry and husband, Vernon, of Holdenville, OK. He enjoyed Saturday morning garage sales and watching sports, especially OU football with his family. Truman retired from Tinker AFB after 32 years. Viewing will be Friday, July 22, and funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 23, at Candlewood Chapel, 315, S. Sooner Rd, under the direction of Ford Funeral Service. Special thanks to Odyssey Hospice staff Nancy McClain and Michelle Hill. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to Alzheimer's Association, for research, at 1 N. Hudson Ave #800, Okla. City, OK 73102 in Truman's memory.
