Ruby Amilee West

May 5, 1922 - September 23, 2020

Ruby Amilee West, 98, 'joined her Savior' early Wednesday morning September 23, 2020. She was born in Lafayette, TN, May 5, 1922, to Gipson and Emma Deckard. Ruby is survived by her four children: Don and his wife Marian, Ronnie, Glenda, Gerald, step-granddaughter, Molly Bailey (Norman), great grandson Dresdyn Bingham, and her beloved cat Booger Boy. She enjoyed Saturday morning garage sales, rose rocks, watching the deer from her big back yard, planting flowers, watching birds, and loved long drives. Prior to moving to Oklahoma, Ruby was a school teacher in Tennessee. Once in Oklahoma met and married Truman West in 1951 (2005). Family graveside services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 28th, at Sunny Lane Cemetery, under the direction of Ford Funeral Service. Her kindness and gracious living is her legacy to us, her grateful children. Life well lived! Special thanks to Mary, Suzie, Julia, Serena, and Vicki. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to Del City Church of Christ-Meals on Wheels, 1901 Vickie Dr., Del City, OK 73115 in Ruby's memory.
