Following the death of her husband she moved to Wewoka to enjoy small town life. She quickly immersed herself in the community and opened the Antique House 1983-2008. This was her passion she was always looking for finds, working on them, or researching antiques. Every week you could find her at Rotary Club where she served as the first woman President in Oklahoma. She was the United Wewoka Merchants President from 1983-85 and Sorghum Day Chairperson `84-86.
