Marie Story

August 14, 1923 - July 15, 2010

Marie Story, 86, of Midwest City, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010. She was born, the youngest of thirteen children, on August 14, 1923 in Cathey, Oklahoma to Henry Philip and Martha Lena (Chapman) Wilson. Marie was preceded in death by: her parents and siblings; husband of 61 years, Chester D. Story; and sons: Bob D. Story and Gary D. Story. Marie is survived by: four children: daughter, Reta & husband Tom Saunders; daughter, Pam & husband Larry Craig; son, Tom & wife Becky; daughter, Kathy Mortenson; daughters-in-law: Mary and Dori Story; 15 grandchildren: Judy McClain, Sam Story, Stacey Lederman, Jane Saunders, Kim Benton, Tammy Webb, Deana Story, John Story, Jenny Hensiek, Julie Angala, Jesse Story, Will Story, Lisa Story, Austin Mortenson and Kyle Mortenson; 16 great grandchildren and numerous friends. Marie will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They will also remember her for her quilting, sewing, putting together puzzles and 'whipping up' their favorite pies. Marie loved her Sunday school class and church family along with the 'Burger King Bunch' a group of her closest friends she shared morning coffee with. Services for Marie will be 10:00 am, Monday, July 19, 2010 at Country Estates Baptist Church with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
